The Lakers signed free agent guard Steve Blake, the team announced Thursday. Although Blake agreed to terms last week on a four-year, $16-million deal, he couldn't officially sign until the free-agent moratorium ended Wednesday night.
The Times' Mike Bresnahan and Broderick Turner recently reported that the Lakers secured Blake using part of their mid-level exception, and have less than $2 million left on the MLE. The next order of business appears to involve re-signing veteran guard Derek Fisher, who has yet to reach an agreement with the team.
